This diploma thesis defines the required language level for alumni of the Faculty of Business and Management, Brno University of Technology from perspective of labour market and job opportunities. The thesis analyzes variable foreign languages and their required level for graduates in professional life. Even more the thesis analyzes opportunities for personal development in the field of learning languages. It specifies the languages from a professional point of view and thanks to the theoretical and analytical knowledge provides suggestions and solutions for further personal development of future graduates.

The concept of investor in international agreements on the protection of investments

The term "investor" in international investment agreements The aim of this thesis is to explain, compare and evaluate the meaning of investor as one of the key terms used in the area of international investment protection. From a systematic point of view, international investment activities are governed by international economic law, which is a sub-discipline of public international law. Foreign investment as a transfer of assets from one country to another in order to generate wealth is a kind of activity known and done since the era of colonialism or even before. The subjects carrying out these operations are called investors. However the framework of international investment protection as we know it today started out when the so called bilateral investment treaties (BITs) became commonly used to protect and promote international investing. These treaties entered into by states as sovereign members of the international community stipulated conditions to protect each other's investors in order to stimulate the flow of free capital over the borders. International context of a school ICT coordinator

This thesis debates differences of an ICT coordinator's work in different countries. In its theoretical part, it examines work of an ICT coordinator and If and how this role could be separated to methodical (pedagogical) work and coordinating work and emphasizes how important it is to separate this role from a work of a technician. This work also brings results of various international researches from this field and compares them with a research done in the Czech Republic. Comparing the results reveals that situation of Czech ICT coordinators does not differ in most points from their international counterparts. The two areas that show differences is that the Czech coordinators are more often expected to cover work of a an IT technican and more issues with quality of hardware and internet connection. The US Financial Market Uncertainty and Its Spillover to European Stock Markets

This thesis studies the spillover of the financial market uncertainty arising from the United States to three major European stock markets by analyzing the impulse response functions that were estimated using the local projections method. European stock markets are represented by their corresponding in- dices: the DAX 30 index for Germany, the CAC 40 for France, and the FTSE 100 for the United Kingdom. The results prove the existence of uncertainty spillover from the United States into Europe with the negative relationship be- tween the performance of a particular stock market and the uncertainty shock emerging from the US. Additional analysis examines the response to uncer- tainty shock for the two subsamples based on the Lehman Brothers collapse. The results show a possible interesting improvement in the ability to recover from uncertainty shock since the collapse of Lehman Brothers and can serve as a starting point for the further analyses in the field. International Child Abductions

International Child Abductions Abstract in English This dissertation thesis deals with the issue of International Child Abductions, which is a constantly growing phenomenon. The focus of the legal regulation of international abductions lies within the Hague Convention on the Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction (hereinafter referred to as the 1980 Convention), which was adopted on 25 October 1980. There are already 98 signatory States of the Convention. This fact makes the Convention, at least in terms of the number of signatory states, one of the most successful international treaties at all. In spite of the nearly forty years of this Convention, there are still uncertainties in interpretation of certain terms during its application. The introductory part of this work deals mainly with questions of interpretation of basic concepts such as habitual residence or the right to care for a child, as well as the interpretation of individual exemptions from the obligation to return the child to the state of his habitual residence without delay. This section analyzes in particular the case law of the United Kingdom and United States courts, which account for nearly 50 % of all international abductions.
